  30. It sounds to me like you need to read the script programming chapter of
  31. the manual, "Using MS-DOS Kermit".  Although Kermit script programs are
  32. easier to write than, say, C or Fortran programs, when writing programs in
  33. any language you need a reference until you are proficient enough to work
  34. without it.

  36. To summarize very briefly, first make sure sure that you can do everything
  37. manually.  Then write down what you did in the form of a script program.
  38. Replace the CONNECT command by a series of:
  39.  
  40.   OUTPUT blah   ; what I type
  41.   INPUT n blah  ; how the computer is supposed to respond within n secs
  42.   IF FAIL blah  ; what to do if it doesn't
  43.  
  44. Use SET TAKE ECHO ON and SET INPUT ECHO ON to debug.  Please consult the
  45. manual for details.
